Qualifying Marks
A candidate is declared to have passed the Foundation / Executive / Professional examination, if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
" Institute of Company Secretaries of India has decided to conduct ICSI CS Exam 2021 as scheduled amid this pandemic. The examination for the executive and professional program will begin on June 1 and the foundation course examination will begin on June 5, 2021 " .
Institute of Company Secretaries of India will open the application window for ICSI CS June Exam 2021 on May 15, 2021. Candidates who could not submit their examination form before can now apply online for CS Foundation/ Executive/ Professional Program Examinations through the official site of ICSI on icsi.edu.
the exam pattern for CS Executive 2021 specifies both MCQ based and subjective type questions.
The powers of Company Secretary are:-
1. he has the power to supervise and control the secretarial department of the company.
2. he has the power to issue share certificate of the company.
3. being the principal officer he also has to sign official documents of the company.
4. he is empowered to perform all activities under various acts.
5. he has the right to be indemnified for any loss suffered by him in discharging his duties.
The responsibilities of Company Secretary are mentioned below :-
1. he is responsible to comply with internal regulations and legislation.
2. it is his duty to disclose all information for inclusion in register of directors and secretary.
3. it is his duty to exercise due care and diligence.
4. he is responsible for ensuring board decisions are properly communicated.
5. he is responsible for safe custody of common seal.
A company secretary is a senior position in a private sector company or public sector organization. It is also their responsibility to register and communicate with shareholders, to ensure that dividends are paid and to maintain company records, such as lists of directors and shareholders, and annual accounts.
Candidates must have achieved an age of 17 years or more on the application date. The ICSI has replaced Foundation Programme with CSEET. Candidates must have passed the CSEET (CS Executive Entrance Test) for registration to CS Executive Programme.
